Acupuncture is part of a system of traditional Chinese medicine that has been practiced for around 3,500 years.

Using fine needles that are inserted in the body at very specific points, the treatment is designed to alter the body’s energy flow, or Qi, into healthier patterns

Chinese Herbal Medicine (CHM) has been used in Eastern countries for 5000 years, and is a safe and effective form of medicine today. Prescriptions are tailor-made on an individual basis according to your particular diagnosis, and are designed to stimulate the body's own healing mechanisms, so that balance is restored.

At your first appointment a very detailed history will be taken, both of recent and past health along with careful assessment of the tongue and pulse.

The Register of CHM governs practitioners and ensures that pharmacies are regulated and abide by the guidelines issued by the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency.
