Massage

Massage is a form of therapy that can be applied to parts of the body or to the whole body to heal injury, relieve psychological stress, manage pain and improve circulation. Massage can also be used for its physical and psychological benefits, where it may be termed therapeutic or holistic massage therapy.

The Dyke Road Clinic has massage practitioners working at the clinic who are experienced in a wide range of techniques.

Clare Baker, Dip ITEC

Clare has been working as a massage therapist since 2004 and is a member of the Complementary Therapists Association. She is a sensitive and intuitive bodyworker whose focus is to relieve the stress, pain and discomfort experienced by her clients.

Using advanced massage techniques to provide remedial, relaxation, pregnancy and hot stone massage, she tailors each treatment to the individual needs of her client.

Fully qualified in holistic massage, Clare has undertaken extensive post-graduate training including advanced medical massage, clinical musculo-skeletal anatomy and pregnancy massage.

Treatment fees

Clare Baker Friday afternoons
Remedial massage £40 per hour
Relaxation massage £40 per hour
Pregnancy massage £40 per hour
Hot stone massage £50 per hour

Elizabeth Ross-Talbot (BA Hons, PGrad, ITEC, FHT)

Elizabeth is a qualified ITEC Holistic Massage Practitioner. She has been working with the Wilbury School of Natural Therapy for many years and has an indomitable passion for inspiring her clients in their path towards vitality and wellbeing.

In her treatments Elizabeth practises the unique Wilbury School massage routine, incorporating many disciplines including Swedish and Californian massage strokes, Shiatsu, Polarity therapy, Reflex and Acupressure points.

Elizabeth is a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists. Her studies include Yoga, Meditation, Reiki healing, Holistic Healing, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Myofascial Release techniques, Hot Stone Massage and Advanced Reflexology.

Darina Holikova BSc. (Hons) MCSP MFHT

Darina has been living in UK since 1999. She qualified in Therapeutic massage, Reflexology and Indian head massage in 2006 in Brighton, UK and has been practicing her skills ever since. She volunteered for Sussex Partnership NHS Trust providing massages to hospitalised patients and recently has been engaging with Alzheimer's Society in the provision of massage to marathon runners in London and Brighton.

To broaden her knowledge in human movement and function, and to expand on manual therapy techniques she pursued a degree in Physiotherapy and gained a BSc. (Hons) qualification from the University of Brighton. Darina is registered with the Health Professions Council. She is a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapies and also the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
